SERVICES

Tilt-up and pre-cast methods of concrete construction are proven cost effective and time saving ways to build all kinds of commercial and industrial buildings. The team at RD Panelform are concrete building experts. We have completed over 500 major construction projects in NSW, SA and QLD, and can manufacture not only walls but car parks, columns, structural supports or any other job where concrete is a major component.
TILT- UP

The tilt-up construction method means concrete panels are engineered and constructed onsite. A tilt-up construction job can be completed on average in two weeks from start to finish. It offers the most cost effective solution, but requires more significant collaboration and organization on the building site, and can interfere with other construction on the site.

PRE-CAST

Pre-cast panels are built offsite and then transported to the site. This option has the advantage of not interfering with other existing construction on site and can be delivered much more quickly. However, this method needs to factor in transport and offloading costs, so it can work out more expensive.

WHY CONCRETE PANEL CONSTRUCTION:

Structural precast concrete panels are a versatile building material. They require minimal maintenance and are particularly suited to Australia’s harsh climatic extremes. Concrete panelsare strong, durable and can be engineered to meet the structural needs of every type of commercial, industrial and even residential construction.

Concrete gains strength as it ages and has the advantage of being flood and fire resistant. Itdoesn’t shrink, distort or rot, making it a preferred material when factoring in the unpredictable conditions associated with climate change.

The inherent structural properties of precast walls mean that they do not require additional bracing to resist racking loads and that simple design of cross walls and junctions can provide adequate lateral bracing. Tie-down inserts to resist cyclonic winds are simple to design, install and connect.

Precast finishes are highly impact resistant, withstand wear and tear, and require minimal repairs and maintenance.
